What I do

This is what I do

I dream, a lot. So the ideas part of each project is usually down in a heart beat. I like collaborating, especially with experts in the field of the film or photo shoot. That could be the CEO of the company or another filmmaker. I am a Director. I am not what you would call a 'videographer'. I am, however, a cinematographer. I like to promote emotional responses through still and motion picture. I also like to do this via my state of the art editing suite.

Developing Ideas...

“To draw, you must close your eyes and sing” ~Pablo Picasso

Whether you have an idea or need help generating ideas is all part of the fun. Pre-production involves creativity and organisation before the shoot begins and whether it's a feature film or a 1 minute Instagram video, this stage is always very important and I'm very thorough.

I am not posing. Honest. I'd forgotten my hair band. Here I am with my FS7. I have an extensive range of 4K film equipment and photography gear.

Lights, Camera...

You know the rest. Once we come to principle photography day (also known as shoot day) the planning before allows the creativity to flow. I have experience Directing. I have a lot of experience in cinematography. From Documentaries spanning from Australia to Peru to filming an early morning sunrise in my hometown. No project is too big or small. Just give me a camera!

There's always time...

TO STEAL A MOMENT OF TIME.

Photography on set or on a dedicated stills project is always fun and the soul of where my 'eye' was born. I started in fashion photography by chance, photographing some clothes for a friends website. A year later I shot a campaign for Paul Smith. Whether it be a bands next album cover or a travel documentary series, I am where I belong.

Firstly, this is not my home edit suite. This is my on the road suite whilst filming in New York. Secondly, I took this stood on a chair. I'm not 8 feet tall.

Where [more] magic happens

my solitary moment

The edit is where the pieces fit together. They fit together in many different ways. It's no conventional puzzle. I am always open to new ways of reaching the final outcome. Always learning. I love to edit, and I love to be in my edit suite.
