My not so secret diary

Singapore

Wake up at 545am, toilet, stretch and back to sleep. The bed is pretty comfy and long enough I can stretch out. At 6'3" that's pretty rare on a plane. I wake up again around 730am, put my bed away and read some of GQ. For breakfast I have a bowl of fruit, some brown toast, a strawberry and banana smoothie, two cups of peppermint tea and the lighter option of lemon and sultana pancakes. Breakfast was way better than dinner. I flick on the map to see where we are, we have just over an hour of our first flight in to Singapore left, currently over Pulau Dayang Bunting.

Singapore Airport, finally time for a walk!

Singapore Airport, finally time for a walk!

We arrive in Singapore for our 'layover' period and all head straight to the lounge. We sit and chat, i get a latte and contemplate I just ate breakfast but it's now 6pm. As soon as we get back on the plane we will be offered dinner again. I go for a walk around the airport, stopping at a photo booth to take a selfie as an astronaut and send it to Soph, as you do. I call Soph quick to check in and let her know I'm ok, I resist telling her about the photo, opting to leave that as a treat for her when she checks her mail.

We get back on the plane and head off again, I watch a film Brad recommends I see called The Equalizer, staring Denzel Washington who is awesome as usual, really good film. While I watch I eat, of course, the 'compliments of the chef' pre starter is a piece of Iberica ham on top of some watermelon, which is way nicer than it sounds! I choose the Tart starter, which is good and then the Rosemary Chicken and vegetables, which is a lot nicer than last nights meal. I push the boat out and treat myself to a delicious date and walnut desert before trying to get some sleep.
