Slept through till 9am. The beds in this hotel are so nice. I like a soft bed, and other than mine own at home this is up there as one of the best. I consider trying to get more sleep, but within half an hour I'm out walking toward the New Yorker to grab a little footage of the iconic sign and to take a few photos.
It's about 1030 before I stop to get coffee and breakfast. Whilst I'm there I pull out the iPad pro, open up 1Writer and Safari in split screen mode and start writing my blog for yesterday as I was too tired last night to even attempt it.
Back at the hotel I pack ready for the flight home this evening. En route I chat with Connor about house stuff, we are both geeking out about the Philips hue lights I've got him in to. We arrive and check in, me, Brad, Tris and Con get our boarding passes and head through security. On the 'other side' I head to the lounge, dump my bags, grab a drink and then head to the shops to have a look around.
We board and I open up the iPad again to write this. Listening to some tunes, having a glass and wine and adding tasks to my 2Do list for when I'm home. It's been a great trip, I've got some footage I genuinely am really happy with [which is rare], and in a few days I take two weeks away from editing and filming to refresh myself for the next year. Once I finish this, I finish my wine, put my chill playlist on and get into my bed for the rest of the flight.
