My not so secret diary

I wake up around 5am feeling ill still. Drink water, take tablets and then fall into a deep sleep till 1130am. I'm sleeping way longer than normal, I guess I need it. I head for lunch at 12, opting for more curry, it's helping the cold I have developed. My sinuses feel painfully tight now. At 1pm the band head to the label to do promo. I plan to meet them later as I want to shoot some b roll at a nearby shrine and temple. I head out around 2pm and get some footage I'm pleased with, taking photos with my X100S along the way. The tranquility inside fills me with inner peace, it's a beautiful place to be. I watch the locals and copy them to make sure I pay respect how I should whilst a visitor to their home, it's another day that I'm thankful I get to do what I do. I feel an intense moment of clarity that all my hard work in the past years brings me to these moments in my life when I can smile and pat myself on the back for being dedicated and never giving up. I soon snap out of it though and concentrate back on what I'm doing. Check the composition, check the white balance, check exposure, check shutter speed, check aperture, check focus, check focus again..check the frame, record....

as as I walk back I take some more photos including some shots of the taxis, all so pristinely kept, I've never seen an even partly dirty cab here, it is by far the cleanest nation I've ever visited...

I head back to the hotel via Starbucks and get stuck into editing some photos for James and the record label back in the UK. Around 530pm I head to the label to meet the band and film the meet and greet they have there. We leave around 730pm. Everyone except James is heading to a restaurant later, I want to go but I feel lousy so decide to rest and eat at the hotel with James before packing, taking some quick photos of the view and hitting the sack around 11pm.

Goodnight Tokyo.
